Cow eggs

The cows have returned to the field across the road. So have the eggs that the cow-man leaves for us in exchanged for using our hosepipe to water the cows.

Some of the eggs were broken when I spotted them outside - I suspect those pesky peacocks.

Daddy is flying!

We took Daddy indoor skydiving for his birthday this year. He didn't seem too pleased about it at first, and seeing a girl being carried out to an ambulance on arrival didn't help. Once in there though he loved it, and as with everything else was annoyingly good at it.

Freezing in Southport

Easter Bunny left us a pretty good stash this year.

Bubs enjoyed hunting for the eggs more than any of us had imagined she would. She was frantic in her excitement.

The weather lady said it would be nice, so we set off to Southport. It was freezing.

We introduced Bubs to the joys of the seaside arcade.

And of course, its never too cold for ice-cream.

Pih Pih Vs Simpson Pih

A trip to see Darren, Nicky and Ben turned into a very competitive family football match in Sefton Park. Bubs was more interested in the leftover sandwiches than the beautiful game.

Maundy money.....and the rest

Work has been a little crazy for the last few weeks because on top of our normal workload we were having to do all kinds of stupid stuff to prepare for a visit from the Queen for Maundy Thursday. If people really knew how much local public money had to be spent to facilitate these visits, I'm sure they would not be waving their flags quite so enthusiastically.

As well as loads of prep before the visit, I also had to 'volunteer' to be a steward on the day. Her fancy car almost ran over my foot. You can just see me in this pic - the very furthest orange jacket top right

At least the old folk receiving the Maundy money had a pretty good time being treated like royalty for a day.
