Gymnastics

Although Kitty really liked doing ballet, we found it a bit full on with the shows and rehearsals and everything, so we are trying gymnastics. She took part in a taster session in the summer holidays and REALLY enjoyed it - especially the trampoline, so we put her name on the waiting list and...well...waited. Last week, we finally got the call to say she had a place in the club. So far so good. She had a really good time and quite a workout too, so hopefully this will be much better for her.

Our girls

Our girls are really starting to enjoy playing with each other now.  I love it. Ira adores Kitty, listens to and laughs at everything she says and does. Kitty loves the attention and delights in being the big sister whose job it is to teach Ira everything.

Autumn thoughts

It's been a good summer, but now Autumn has truly set in. Kitty is back at school, Ira is booked in for a few taster sessions at nursery and I have turned to thinking about my inevitable return to work in the New Year.

Cheap carrot man

As part of my penny pinching efforts I bought a bargain bag of 'all shapes and sizes' carrots rather than the nice organic ones I normally get. Kitty thought they were great and couldn't wait to make a carrot man out of the one she found with legs.

Lemonheads

I LOVE lemons. I can eat them like oranges. Kitty has inherited this taste and it would seem that Ira has too. She sat happily scraping her little teeth on the zest of a fresh unwaxed lemon almost all of the way around the supermarket. That was until we spotted the book 'Little Bubba' - an essential purchase.

Library etiquette

These signs in the library made me chuckle.
Ira hasn't quite got to grips with library etiquette and while I was choosing my books she proceeded to do some of the loudest public trumping to date. Luckily, the other library patrons seemed to find it pretty amusing.
