Bye Bye Beard

Daddy grew a beard for Movember. It's now March and he still has it, so Kitty decided it was time to say bye bye beard. Thank goodness she didn't go for a cut-throat.

Farm party

Another brilliant birthday party at Kitty's friend's farm down the lane. The house they are building is looking starting to good and the roof is finally going on, but progress has been so slow. Enough to put me off ever thinking about a self-build. Their view is amazing though, a 360 degree that takes in Pendle Hill, Boulsworth Hill, across to Yorkshire and of course over towards us. Very jealous.

40 days

We had lots of pancakes with sugar and orange. After, Kitty announced that we now have to give up sugar for 40 days and do lots of extra exercise. Luckily, she says walking counts and both kiddos have decided that going for a walk with the reins is really fun.

Walk in the park

We used to take Bert for a walk in the park, but now Bubs is on her feet Kitty likes to get the lead baby reins out and take her for walkies instead. They both like having someone to play with on the seesaw.

Northern Lights vs East Enders

Northern Lights were visible here last night and I missed it!! Why?....probably watching East Enders on iplayer or something as stupid. That'll teach me. It seems to be happening more frequently around these parts though, so maybe I will catch it next time. We are becoming more Northern as each season passes. With any luck, we'll soon forget all about the North-South divide, leave London behind altogether and just become Scandinavian.

Frack off

Getting very worried about the fracking that is happening in West Lancashire. East Lancashire is on the hit list too it would seem. A combination of large amounts of shale gas (purple indicate primary areas), a weak local authority and a largely deprived community seen as an easy target could spell disaster for us up here. Big meeting about it on Monday night in Burnley. It's a date Cuadrilla.

Post panda

Kitty and Ira sent Ben a Nanoblock panda they found in a local shop. Darren and Ben sent us back a cool picture of said panda with the belated Christmas present we left for Ben at Grandmas House - wrapping paper design by Kitty.
