Pond dipping

There is always something new to do. Today, pond dipping at Wycoller. We caught two big bull beetles, a few fish, a red mud worm and a couple of water snails.

Inspired

The drive over the tops to Skipton is a nice one. We were inspired by the views to do something creative.

There was a table available at Coffee and Clay, so we took it and got stuck in. Kitty painted a large bowl.

Ira had a go too and got quite excited. I helped and together we painted a lovely baby bowl.
Both bowls will be fired at the weekend. I can't wait to see what they look like when we pick them up next week.

What's really nice about Skipton town centre is that you can get everywhere by walking along the canal rather than on the roads. From one part of town to the next. To the park and back. Even to the supermarket and the car parks.
Kitty was in awe of the building at the side of the canal - and how on earth it could have been built into the water!

Wheels

We routed out Kitty's old trike. She carefully washed it down with soapy water, gave it a polish with a cloth and declared it fit to give to Ira.
Ira was thrilled. We went for a walk/ride.

We were on the look out for some other kids to play with. We didn't find any, but we met some bees....

......and some friendly dogs.

Old friends

Holly and Cas came to visit from Nottingham. Kitty and Cas always seem to get on so well, even though they don't get to see each other very often. They played for ages in Kitty's new tent and had fun talking to the ducks in Hebden.
