Happy Ira
Once again it seems we have been blessed with a happy little baby. Already she is smiling and laughing and generally showing delight in anything and everything. I know some people have babes that always seem unhappy and they do not get to enjoy this stage as they are always so tired and worn out from 24 hour crying. We are lucky. Very lucky.
There is plenty of shouting and crying too of course. Ira has a particularly grumpy time daily between 6pm and 10pm and when she is really on one, nothing can console her. But generally, if she is upset a jiggle, a bit of milk or a clean bum does the trick.

New home ?
The lady rescued the sheep from a farm. They were in a very poor state when she found them and after nursing them back to health, she couldn't give them up so paid the farmer so she could keep them. They are now the happiest looking sheep I have ever seen. She knows nothing about goats but I'm sure she would take good care of Rei. It's only about 10 miles away so I could visit and make sure he is ok. It is really hard to think about giving him up, but I know I have to do something as he is so lonely without Bo and i just cant take on another animal. I am going to think it through this week before making a decision. I have had a chat with Rei about it.

School run
We are not really a family of routine, but things are finally starting to come together and there is now a glimmer of order to our mornings. From what was originally complete chaos as we all tried to wash, eat, dress, get in the car and to school on time with all our belongings, has now become a relatively calm and almost fun start to our day.
Kitty is being a really big girl and dresses and washes herself while I see to Bubba. Once in her car seat, Bubba spends most of the trip asleep. We leave early to make sure we have time to park a good way from the school and enjoy a bit of a morning walk. Kitty likes to have plenty of time to play with her friends before the bell, and surprisingly I too enjoy spending a bit of time receiving compliments on Bubba and chatting to the other mums in the playground.
Once the weather gets a little better, we will probably introduce Bert to the joys of the school run too.

Snow day
Kitty has been feeling a little under the weather with a bad cough and running a temperature. She had a day off school to rest but once the snow started, we couldn't resist venturing out for a little while.

A name
Ira is of Hebrew origin, meaning watchful. When female, it also means water and earth. Lam is Chinese and its literal translation is woods, trees or forest. When used as a girls name it means peace.

No. 2
A few days late, but perfect in every way. After hours of labour, our second little babe arrived via c-section at 1.16pm on Friday 28th December 2012. 8lbs 7oz. As of yet, no name. For now, just Bubba.
Peahead was amazing. When he could see I was really struggling he pretty much insisted on an emergency c-section. The surgeon said it was a good job he did as we might both have been in trouble due to some complications. Thanks Peahead. xx
