The Black Bloomer

I needed something to keep the kiddos busy while I did a spot of gardening. We got a couple of boxes from the skip at the supermarket and set to it.

It soon started to take shape.

And before long the troublesome two were ready to set sail in The Black Bloomer - the best, most speedy and beautiful pirate ship ever (apparently).

A good three hours solid fun.

An mummy managed to plant some strawberry runners from Mama Kitty's garden and fashion a little fence from hedgerow sticks.

I also inherited lots of seeds that Mama had saved from her garden. She had carefully labelled each little paper bag. I planted them in hope that a small bit of her garden will continue here on my little plot.

Gardening, not.

Kit and Ira were helping me tidy the garden. However, our neighbour's mini slide proved to be just too much of a distraction.

Tackling the grass

I neglected the grass last year while I was pregnant. Mum and Dad came up to help me tackle it.

Our little neighbour Annabelle kept Layla occupied.

Dad did most all of the hard the work.

Mini railway

Mini railway at Edisford Bridge. Never seen it running before and had always thought it was an abandoned relic from the past. Today went we all took a ride. 50p donation. Brilliant fun.

Sister love

Introducing Ira to the joys of pebble throwing at Edisford Bridge.

It takes time to master wellies on rock.

Kit loves Ira........

.....but sometimes babies are really annoying when they mess around at the top of the slide.
