Love it...pass it on

Bubs is getting big and has moved into some of Kitty's bigger hand-me-downs (many of which were already preloved purchases or hand-me-downs from others).
We had so much stuff that was too small, so the charity shop got a nice bundle and the rest is on ebay. Any cash we get back will be recycled into new shoes for Kit. Brilliant.

Olly Von meets Layla

Mama, Grandad and Layla came to visit. We all went for a nice walk. Olly Von came too on Kits back.

Carrot face v2

Our little baby Ira is getting more beautiful everyday.

She is growing fast and has recently become really interested in her toys (she includes my iPad in the definition of 'her toys'!).















She has been showing a real interest in food. I even had to wrestle with her over a glass of orange juice at a friends Christening the other day. She was possessed. It was actually quite embarrassing. So, even though it is currently recommended to wait until 6 months, I have started to let her try a few things. So far just a little apple or pear sauce and carrot. She is doing well, and despite what it looks like in the photo she does actually eat most of it. Kitty started tasting things at this age - check out how similar they are - or is it just the carrot?

Another classic drawing from Kitty.
She has now decided that when she grows up she would like to be either an illustrator (not an artists - as thats not a real job) or a writer of books. I explained that if she was clever about it, she could probably do both. This pleased her a lot.

Kitty ♥'s Auntie Nicky

Daddy and Kitty were invited to Uncle Darren, Auntie Nicky and Ben's house in Liverpool. They had a great time. Kit LOVES Auntie Nicky as she always has an endless amount of time for her. She came back loaded up with things she had made, tales of what exciting things they had done and the news of a staggering seven bedtime stories!

it's grim up north

A family day out on the train to Leeds. The museum was a bit boring, but Bubs liked the Library. As usual, Kitty's preference was for outside. She especially liked hanging out around the cool Parkour kids doing summersaults. We had good noodles, pick n mix and green tea before home to bed.

Sunflower

Spring assembly and Kitty needed a sunflower outfit. I never thought I would find a use for that strange grass-type fabric in my sewing cupboard!

"A bud appears and opens into a flower" - after practising for two weeks, she delivered her line perfectly this morning.
