Happy new year sam

The plan worked and mum and dad came to pick up little brown cat this new years bank holiday.
He still has a pretty bad cold and I think living on the streets has taken its toll on his teeth and gums, but he has certainly landed firmly on his feet this new year as a home at my mums house guarantees a life of love and luxury for any animal. My mum is as mad as boiled snake, but her heart is in the right place and over the years she has taken in her fair share of waifs and strays. Dad didn't seem quite so keen on the new addition to the Simpson household, but he is a softy too and I know given a few days with the friendly little fella, he'll be won over too. From now on his name is Sam after my grandad, what an honour.

I recently stumbled upon a house for sale and can't stop obsessing over it. Dad being here for the weekend didnt help matters as he only encourages me - what i view as a 'dream' he suggests is just a matter of a bit of building work and a gas supply. If only I could find a few hundred thousand pounds we would be up there enjoying the freedom of a mere 28 acres of prime Yorkshire soil. hmmm...maybe I'll speak to the bank tomorrow.
