Bosie has had mites on his ankles. I noticed it a few days after my neighbour had invited a woman she knows to trim the babes toe nails while I was at work thinking she was doing me a favour! I called the vet straight away. Although only Bosie seemed to have the mites, they both had an injection and Bosie had some pain killer and blue spray too, as he had itched his ankles until they were really sore. The vet said that the lady probably hadn't cleaned her clippers and the mites had come from her sheep.
Now the medicine has kicked in and killed the mites, we had to clean out and disinfect the shed and then burn all the old bedding. Bosie seems much better now, and they both had a good time going free range while we did it.
