Tonight I was at the launch party for Parallel Realities - the new Japanese art exhibition in Blackburn. It' part of C21, an arts project we have been working on for a while. A whole collection of stuff has been shipped over from the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum to exhibit in various venues around town. There is some really great stuff, some bizarre stuff and some completely barking mad stuff, but well worth a visit. As well as the art, a bunch of Japanese artists have come over to do some work here, but so far all they seem to do is walk around town looking absolutely bewildered rather than doing any art (unless that is the art??? who can tell???)
